Combination Therapy Demonstrates Significant Activity

A combination therapy of the new anticancer agent, Taxotere (docetaxel), and Adriamycin (doxorubicin) demonstrated significant activity and a well tolerated safety profile in the first line treatment of metastatic (advanced) breast cancer. Results from a Phase I study, were presented at the 8th Annual European Cancer Conference (ECCO-8) in Paris, France. In the study, conducted at the Institut Curie, in Paris, and Hopital Paul-Brousse in Villejuif, France, patients with metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has spread to other sites in the body) were treated with both Taxotere and doxorubicin.
