New Diagnostic Techniques and Treatments Announced

Chronic pelvic pain - a common, difficult-to-diagnose condition in women that can cause painful intercourse and interfere with their daily life - may be caused by varicose veins from the ovary, a diagnosis frequently overlooked by clinicians.

Information about the condition - and a nonsurgical, interventional radiology technique for treating it - was presented at the 20th Annual Meeting of the Society of Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology (SCVIR).
