Urodynamic Changes Associated with Behavior and Drug Therapy for Urge Incontinence in Older Women

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 48th Annual Meeting of the Gerontological Society of America, held November 15-19, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, "The purpose of this study was to explore the mechanisms of therapeutic change in behavioral training and drug therapy for urge incontinence in community-dwelling older women. Subjects were 197 ambulatory women (age 55 years or over) with persistent urge incontinence. Subjects were stratified according to type of incontinence (urge only vs mixed stress and urge) and severity of incontinence (frequency of accidents as documented in bladder diary).
