Health Department Offering Female Condoms to Gay Males

Michael Petrelis, head of Americans for Gay Rights, said that he was worried that the condoms had not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for anal sex. The manufacturer, Pharmacal Co., Wisconsin, did an initial test on 16 gay couples, but never followed up, he said. Other activists agreed.
