Researchers Report More Bad News For Women Smokers

New evidence was added to the case against smoking as researchers confirmed that women smokers carry tobacco carcinogens in their cervical tissues, and that fetuses of mothers who smoke during pregnancy carry tobacco carcinogens in their blood.

Both studies were presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), held April 20-24, 1996, in Washington, D.C.
