Starting Over: AIDS Focus Group Discussions with Rwandan Women After 1994 War

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 23 Annual Conference Program of the National Council for International Health, held June 9-12, 1996, "Objective: To identify appropriate messages to gain women's active participation in HIV/AIDS prevention activities. Methodology: Twelve focus group discussions (FGDs) were held with women in Kigali and surrounding rural areas. In urban Kigali, 2 FGDs each were held with women in union (age 20-30), young widows (age 20-30), and single adolescent women (age 15-20).
