According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the XI International Conference on AIDS, held July 7-12, 1996, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, "Objectives: Current trends in the HIV epidemic show an increasing need for access to and availability of comprehensive, community-based systems of care, with linkages to research, including clinical trials for women with HIV/AIDS. In response to this need, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funds services for women with HIV through Title I, II, III (b), and IV of the Ryan White Care Act and through other agency programs.
