Antifungal Susceptibility among Candida Species Recovered from HIV-Positive Women Receiving Fluconazole Prophylaxis

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 36th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC), held in New Orleans, Louisiana, September 15-18, 1996, "A randomized, double-blind clinical trial comparing 200 mg/wk of fluconazole;(F) vs placebo (P) was conducted by the-CPCRA. HIV seropositive women (CD4<300) were followed. MICs were performed using established NCCLS.
