Taxpayers Urged To Check Off Tax Forms To Donate to Breast Cancer

New Jersey taxpayers can help save lives starting in 1997.

Lawmakers and breast cancer research advocates announced that there is a breast cancer checkoff on the 1996 state income tax forms. They said taxpayers should check Line 55 to help.

The money taken from the refunds goes toward additional breast cancer research projects at nonprofit institutions statewide. The New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research said the state consistently ranks among the top ten for breast cancer cases and deaths in the United States.
