Cooperative Research Efforts Announced

Medis El Ltd., New York, New York, announced that it has entered into an agreement with the Tel Aviv University Authority for Applied Research and Industrial Development Ltd. (Ramot) to develop a vaccine against breast cancer.

The Tel Aviv scientific team already has reported considerable progress in the development of the vaccine using mice which mimick breast cancer found in humans. Mice which were immunized with the vaccine, then injected with cancer-causing cells, showed a lower incidence of tumor formation, were tumor-free for longer periods of time, and developed smaller tumors.
