NCI and ACS Issue Joint Statement

The following is a joint statement made by the U.S. National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society regarding breast cancer screening for women in their 40s.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the American Cancer Society (ACS) agree that mammography screening of women in their 40s is beneficial and supportable with the current scientific evidence.
