GLMA Warns of Risk to Patient Confidentiality

With the prospect of federal laws on patient privacy nearing, the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) testified June 3, 1997, before the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics of the Department of Health and Human Services on how the introduction of policies that do not fully protect patient confidentiality could negatively impact the gay and lesbian community.
