Wellcome Trust Gives Major Support To DNA Test Development

The Wellcome Trust has provided funding to Dr. Helen Lee (an expert in DNA technology) and colleagues at Cambridge University, to develop a simple and inexpensive DNA dipstick intended to enable healthcare workers in developing countries and poor inner city areas to perform non-invasive urine tests for the detection of Chlamydia trachomatis in people at risk from infection.
