Colpocytologic and Colposcopic Evaluation in HIV Seropositive Patients: Our Experience

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 10th International Meeting of the European Society of Gynecological Oncology, held April 26 - May 2, 1997, in Coimbra, Portugal, "Introduction: Scientific results have been demonstrated that male to female transmission is more efficient than female to male transmission, as observed for other sexually transmitted diseases. Therefore, certain gynecological conditions, such as lower female genital tract neoplasia, are more prevalent among HIV seropositive patients than in seronegative counterparts.
