The HIV Law Project filed a preliminary order in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, asking that names not be used for the plaintiffs in the case, some of whom are infants.
The project's lawyer, Theresa McGovern, said the group expected to file a class action lawsuit, but would not do so if the plaintiffs' identities were made public in court action.
