Fluconazole Resistance among Oral and Vaginal Candida Isolates, The HER Study

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the National Conference on Women & HIV, held May 4-7, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, "Objective: To evaluate in vitro fluconazole resistance (FR) among Candida albicans (CA) and non-C. albicans (NAC) species from oral and vaginal isolates in HIV+ and HIV- at-risk women at the baseline HERS visit and one year later. Methods: Fungal isolates from oral and vaginal specimens obtained at visits 1 and 3 were speciated.
