Study Compares Alternatives for the Evaluation of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

Results of a new study show that transvaginal sonography (TVS) and sonohysterography (SHG) are cost-effective alternatives and more sensitive diagnostic tests than diagnostic hysteroscopy for evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding.

The research is reported in the September 1997 issue of the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine.
