Researchers want to determine if an investigational drug plus tamoxifen will prolong progression-free survival and overall survival of metastatic breast cancer patients.
Study subjects will receive intramuscular injections every two weeks for six weeks and then monthly thereafter for an time period. Controls will receive tamoxifen plus placebo.
Patients must receive the study treatment as first-line therapy for their disease.
