Recognition of the paradigm shift to ob/gyns as primary health care providers for all women, not only pregnant women or women with gynecological disease, pervaded the 46th Annual Clinical Meeting of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) held in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 9-13, 1998.
