National Calcium Campaign Launched

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) announced an aggressive national calcium education campaign to help prevent osteoporosis, an urgent women's health issue that has reached epidemic proportions.

The program was launched during ACOG's Annual Clinical Meeting in May, National Osteoporosis Prevention Month, to help bring attention to this crippling bone disease, which is a major public health threat for 28 million Americans, particularly women.
