Center Provides Complete Health Care for Women with Disabilities

The Center for Women with Disabilities, in Buffalo, New York, provides a model for comprehensive health care of disabled women.

"One of the things we're trying to do in Buffalo is to introduce the prevention and wellness component of medicine into the medical model of actually treating and diagnosing the disabling condition," Carol M. Brownscheidle, PhD, told WHW in an interview at the 46th Annual Clinical Meetings of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, held May 9-13, 1998, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
