Holing and associates at the University of Washington in Seattle compared medical records and responses of 85 diabetic women with planned and unplanned pregnancies to self-administered questionnaires and personal interviews ("Why Don't Women With Diabetes Plan Their Pregnancies'" Diabetes Care, June 1998;21(6):889-895).
