Physicians Must Be Familiar With Diagnosis and Management of Adnexal Masses

Adnexal masses must be diagnosed properly so that appropriate management can be effected, especially in cases of ovarian cancer.

"Any physician who provides care for women should be familiar with the diagnosis and management of adnexal masses," asserted Dr. Janet Drake, a fellow in gynecologic oncology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, in a recent review ("Diagnosis and Management of the Adnexal Mass," Am Fam Phys, May 1998;5:2471-2484).
