International Team Recruiting for Genetic Study of Bulimia

Published in Women's Health Weekly, July 13th, 1998

An international, multicenter study is being conducted to determine if a gene or genes predispose individuals to develop bulimia nervosa.

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Health System researchers are leading the study and are recruiting families with at least two members (sisters, brothers, cousins, or other relatives) who have or have had an eating disorder. No travel is necessary and participants will receive compensation for their time.

For additional information, call the Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, toll-free 1-888-895-3886, or e-mail (info@cope.wpic.pitt.edu).
