Ethnic Minority Women at Greater Risk than White Women in U.S.

Differences in socioeconomic status (SES) between white women, and black and Mexican-American women do not explain the higher prevalence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors in these ethnic minority groups in the U.S., according to an article published in the July 22/29, 1998, issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA, July 1998;280:356-362)
