Age-Related Changes in Human Clitoral Cavernosal Tissue

A recent study has shown that woman, as they age, undergo histological changes in clitoral cavernosal erectile tissue.

The import of this study as it relates to male anatomy is, as yet, undetermined.

T. Tarcan et al. sought to characterize age-associated histological changes of human clitoral cavernosal tissue and to determine whether age-related histological changes of clitoral cavernosal tissue correlate with vascular disease-related mortality ("Histomorphometric Analysis of Age-Related Structural Changes in Human Clitoral Cavernosal Tissue," Journal of Urology, March 1999;161(3):940-944).
