According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the Annual Meeting of the American Urological Association, held May 1-6, 1999, in Dallas, Texas, "Objective: Collagen has been successful in treating female stress urinary incontinence due to intrinsic sphincteric deficiency. Concerns remain as to the number of injections required and the durability of response.
