Fumi Yamaki, MD, of the Gifu Social Insurance Hospital, Japan, compared the use of oral clonidine and famotidine to famotidine alone in 28 mothers-to-be. Their findings were presented at the 1999 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, held October 9-13, 1999 in Dallas, Texas, USA. Their study was titled "Clonidine Premedication Saves Requirement of PCA Intravenous Morphine after Cesarean Section."
