Estrogen May Help Against Early Alzheimer's

They think estrogen helps inhibit the build-up of senile plaque in the brain, which is a defining characteristic of the degenerative brain disorder that currently affects 25 million people worldwide.
Other studies have shown how estrogen decreases risk in older Alzheimer's patients, but the research by Dr. Arjen Slooter of Utrecht University is the first to establish a link with the early onset of the disease, before the age of 65.
