Expansions of the CAG repeat in the androgen receptor gene could be associated with uterine endometrial carcinoma, according to researchers. Some studies suggest that receptor-mediated androgens play a role in uterine endometrial carcinoma, while others have found evidence that the CAG repeat in the coding region of exon 1of the human androgen receptor gene may be linked to carcinogenesis, according to researchers.
