Preliminary Research Indicates Cranberry May Impact Cancer and Heart Disease

Researchers at The University of Western Ontario have completed a study of the effect of cranberry juice and cranberry products on human breast cancer cell growth in animals. The study, funded by Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., is the first to document that regular consumption of cranberry products may inhibit the development of breast cancer in animals. The results were released at the conference Experimental Biology, held in San Diego, California, during April 2000.
