Compound Receives Exemption for Clinical Testing in U.K.

NicOx SA announced that a Clinical Trials Exemption (CTX) for HCT-1026 was approved by the United Kingdom Medicines Control Agency for Phase II clinical testing in urinary incontinence. The CTX gives clearance for a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover clinical trial to be conducted at King's College Hospital in London under the supervision of Prof. Linda Cardozo. The study will evaluate the effect of HCT-1026 in 24 patients with symptoms of urinary frequency and urgency, with or without urinary incontinence (overactive bladder).
