Fatigue Common in Hepatitis C Patients, Especially Women

Women with chronic hepatitis C are more likely to suffer from fatigue, a new study conducted by researchers in France indicates.

Age, cirrhosis, and purpura are also factors associated with fatigue in patients who have hepatitis C virus (HCV), researchers noted in a report called "Fatigue and fibromyalgia in patients with chronic hepatitis C" presented at the 64th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and the 35th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP).
