Rice Bran Extract Arrests Breast Cancer Tumor Cell Growth In Vitro

A natural supplement used by thousands to stimulate the immune system can arrest tumor cell growth as well, according to a study reported March 25, 2001, at the 92nd Annual American Academy of Cancer Research (AACR) meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.

"This is the first time a natural biological response modifier has been shown to go beyond immune system enhancement, to actually have a direct and devastating effect on tumor cells themselves," states lead researcher Mamdooh Ghoneum, PhD, Charles Drew University and University of California at Los Angeles.
