Estrogen Gives Postmenopausal Women Better Memory Consistency

Postmenopausal women who take estrogen and young, college-age women perform more consistently on memory tests compared with postmenopausal women not taking the hormone, according to a new study by investigators at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons.

The researchers, led by Dr. Domonick Wegesin, assistant professor of neuropsychology (in neurology and in the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center), say their findings have both clinical and research implications.
