Fulvestrant gives prolonged response in women with advanced breast cancer

Encouraging data presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) have shown that Faslodex is at least as effective as Arimidex in the treatment of hormone receptor positive postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer. It also provides a longer mean duration of response in this setting. This promising finding adds to a growing body of evidence to support Faslodex use in the advanced setting, suggesting it is a valuable additional endocrine treatment option for these patients.
