Phyton expands commercial supply partnership with Bristol-Myers Squibb

Phyton, Inc., a privately held biotechnology company focused on the production of high-value chemical compounds through its proprietary plant cell fermentation technology, has extended its business relationship with Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (BMY) by signing a long-term, multimillion-dollar deal for supply of the plant-derived taxane drug, paclitaxel.

Phyton's patented PCF process enables large-scale production of paclitaxel, the active ingredient in Taxol, one of the leading treatments for ovarian cancer and breast cancer.
