A new study to be published in the October 15, 2003, issue of Cancer finds, surprisingly, that the conventional breast cancer prognostic factors - tumor size and regional lymph node status - are not strongly correlated in women with BRCA1-related breast cancer. This may indicate a different pattern of metastatic spread in women with BRCA1-related breast tumors.
