Red Cross in China to begin live testing program using whole blood

Medical Services International, Inc., (MSITF) will begin a live testing program with the Red Cross in the People's Republic of China.

One of the programs will consist of testing pregnant women in an attempt to reduce the transmission of HIV to the unborn child.

Often women don't have access to HIV testing and if they do have access to testing cannot wait the standard 3 days to get the results which will allow the pregnant woman to take the medications that help prevent the transmission of the HIV virus to the baby. Testing using the VScan HIV test kit will give immediate results and allow pregnant women to begin taking the medications that will...
