Study of partial breast irradiation in patients with DCIS announced
Published in Women's Health Weekly, January 15th, 2004
The study will be conducted at six leading breast centers across the country. DCIS is the earliest form of breast cancer, in which the cells lining the milk ducts have become cancerous but have not invaded the surrounding breast tissue. The goal of this ongoing study is to provide additional data on the use of the MammoSite Radiation Therapy System in DCIS patients.
