Ultrasound and DXA osteodensitometry identify women with a risk for bone loss. "This study compares dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) measurements of the hip and spine with quantitative ultrasound (QUS) parameters measured simultaneously at the calcaneal and phalangeal bone in 174 patients with and without vertebral fractures.
