Health workers in Uganda need training to help teens with sexual health issues

For young people in northern Uganda, health workers are an important source of sexual and reproductive health information. But a study finds health workers in the region need more training and guidelines for working with adolescents.

Public-health researchers at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, working in Adjumani, Uganda, found that adolescents are knowledgeable about sexually transmitted diseases and ways to prevent them, as well as pregnancy prevention.
