A study published by researchers from Stanford in the May 2004 issue of Fertility and Sterility found that 59% of miscarried in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) fetuses were cytogenetically abnormal (Rate of aneuploidy in miscarriages following in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
