Large, long-term study looks at dietary risk factors in postmenopausal women

Analysis of data from the Malmo Diet and Cancer (MDC) Study points to fat intake and high wine intake as significant risk factors for breast cancer development in postmenopausal women.

I. Mattisson and colleagues working on the MDC Study reported these findings in the International Journal of Cancer (High fat and alcohol intakes are risk factors of postmenopausal breast cancer: A prospective study from the Malmo diet and cancer cohort. Int J Cancer, 2004;110(4):589-597).
