Manufacturing, marketing agreement for stress urinary incontinence tape signed

Uroplasty, Inc. (UPST) entered into an exclusive manufacturing and marketing agreement with CL Medical, Lyon, France, to manufacture and sell the I-Stop tape in the United States for the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence.

The I-Stop tape, developed by CL Medical, is a mid-urethral sling to treat female stress urinary incontinence. The product is presently distributed by Uroplasty, Ltd. in the United Kingdom to along with its Macroplastique urethral bulking agent line.

With the signing of this agreement, Uroplasty, Inc. will proceed with U.S. FDA regulatory submissions for introduction of the I-Stop in the United States.
