Positive results reported on phase II study of LibiGel

Antares Pharma, Inc., (ANTR) announced that its topical testosterone gel North American licensee, BioSante Pharmaceuticals, Inc., (BPA), reported that its placebo-controlled phase II study showed that treatment with LibiGel significantly increased satisfying sexual events in surgically menopausal women suffering from female sexual dysfunction (FSD).

This announcement follows a recent decision by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to grant Procter & Gamble fast track status for its formulation of Intrinsa, an investigational female testosterone patch, based upon data for its two phase III trials.
