This $4 million, 4-year grant is aimed at bringing microscopic imaging technology for MRI scanners, or Virtual Bone Biopsy (VBB), into the clinical arena. The VBB is a singular, non-invasive assessment tool for bone quality that measures trabecular bone microstructure in-vivo, and has enormous implications for patients with osteoporosis.
