Hormone therapy improves risk factors in postmenopausal women

Estrogen replacement therapy improves various risk factors that predispose postmenopausal to metabolic syndrome, study data indicate.

J.S. Green at Texas A&M University and colleagues studied "the effects of apriori estrogen replacement therapy (ERT) and endurance exercise training in postmenopausal women on abdominal visceral fat (AFV) and other selected variables related to body composition and the metabolic syndrome (MS)."
