Gene polymorphism doesn't confer genetic susceptibility in Italian population

DNA analysis has shown that the codon 72 polymorphism of the TP53 gene in a group of Italian women doesn't confer genetic susceptibility to endometriosis. Study authors D. Lattuada and colleagues wrote, "Endometriosis is a benign gynecologic disease that is associated with a certain risk for malignant degeneration. The disease has a genetic background, but the locations of possible genomic aberrations are still poorly clarified.
