Top family council community networks recognized in Washington State

To recognize and encourage the effective implementation of community and family improvement programs across Washington State, the Family Policy Council (FPC) presented Exceptional Result Awards to 6 local communities at the Network Partners' Summit on December 1, 2004, in Tacoma. Through its 39 Community Public Health and Safety Networks, the FPC helps communities, in a mostly volunteer effort, to prevent child abuse and neglect, youth substance abuse, and other social problems.
